The company which rents out private karaoke rooms by the hour is in permitting with the City of Atlanta to build out space, at 364 Nelson Street SW, in the Erikson Clock venue.

FamFam’s original location is situated in Grant Park and opened last year as part of the Elevator Factory incubator.

Owner Christopher Wood is opening the new FamFam “in conjunction with an entirely new creation” called Uni House of Awarness, the entrepreneur told What Now Atlanta in an email.

“Uni House is the embodiment of my personal pursuits and practices and will be based in Buddhist, Taoist and Hindu teachings around stillness and expanding awareness and connectedness,” Wood said.

“It will offer meditative experiences, meditation instruction and sound therapy private, small group and community sound baths.”

Uni House will also showcase handmade pottery and ceramics which will be used to serve “direct-from-farm teas for both tea service and tea ceremony.”

Wood did not comment on the opening timeline for either concept.
