The fast-casual salad eatery will debut in the Piedmont Heights shopping center, at 1544 Piedmont Avenue NE, on July 22.

Chopt replaces Moe’s in Ansley Mall, adjacent Bantam & Biddy.

A “Chopt Gives” event benefiting Giving Kitchen will be held July 20.

“Per grand opening tradition, Chopt will support its community with Chopt Gives Day where all guests who make a donation to local organization Giving Kitchen will receive a free salad [one per person],” according to an announcement this week.

“Chopt partnered with Atlanta’s Giving Kitchen for its Buckhead restaurant opening and is proud to continue its support of this organization, which recently won the 2019 James Beard Humanitarian of the Year award.”

Hours for Chopt Gives are set to be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.

“The funds raised at the Buckhead opening paid six months of rent for food service workers in crisis,” Kristie Azaroff, partnerships and development manager at Giving Kitchen, said in the announcement.

“Partners like Chopt have directly impacted the lives of more than 2,700 people, and we’re grateful to have them in our arsenal of supporters.”

The Ansley Mall Chopt will offer seating for 65 including booths, a large communal table for groups, and a banquette area with views of the courtyard.

Regular business hours, starting on July 22, will be 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Chopt offers a build-your-own salad format with 17 scratch-made dressings and freshly-brewed iced teas and lemonades.

The company is sourcing goods from local purveyors like The General Muir Bread, Golda’s Kombucha, Montane Sparkling Beverages, and Banner Butter Buttermilk, for its new Ansley Mall restaurant, the third in Atlanta (two others are in Buckhead and Toco Hills.)

“Now more than ever, people are looking for fast, health-conscious, and creative food options,” Colin McCabe, Chopt co-founder, said in the announcement.

“Chopt offers just that, boasting the use of the highest quality ingredients, and flavorful and exciting menu options to suit vibrant, growing communities like Atlanta. We are excited to keep spreading our love for tasty, creative and healthful food in the South.”
