Recently filed permit applications submitted to the City of Atlanta seek permission to construct the foundation of the hotel at 3301 Lenox Road, at a cost of $1,600,000.

“The construction timeline will mirror that of Hyatt Place at Centennial Park,” a contractor shared with What Now Atlanta over the phone.

“They’ll finish the foundation, then they’ll complete the core-shell portion and then build out the interior. I anticipate it coming online around [February 2021], which puts it at about one to one-and-a-half years from start to finish.”

Alpharetta-based real estate firm Songy Highroads LLC is developing the hotel, having just completed the 11-story, 175-room Hyatt Place Centennial Park in downtown Atlanta which opened in September 2019.

Once complete, Hyatt Centric Buckhead will offer 221 keys including 12 suites in addition to a rooftop restaurant with “360-degree views” of Buckhead and downtown, set to be designed by Cooper Carry’s The Johnson Studio, in partnership with a yet-to-be-named “local restaurateur.”

There will also be a lobby café/restaurant with outdoor dining “easily accessed” from Path 400.

Additional amenities include a fitness center, a pool and deck, and 4,000-square-feet of meeting space.

The Hyatt Centric at Lenox Square will be Songy Highroads’ seventh Hyatt-branded development since 2014.

Others are located in Houston, Washington, D.C., and Virginia.
