Deep Roots Wine Market and Tasting Room will later this year open in historic Roswell, at 1055 Canton Street, Suite #100, in the Plum Tree Village shopping center.
Owner Dana Gurela over the weekend took possession of suite 100 adjacent Plum Café and will soon begin transforming the space into the bottle shop and tasting room featuring wines from Napa Valley.
Gurela is a certified California Wine Appellation Specialist from the San Francisco Wine School and a “Wine and Spirits Education Trust Level 2 certification” from the Napa Valley Wine Academy.
“We want to take the stuffiness and pretense out of the wine sampling and purchasing process,” Gurela said Monday in a press release.
“Everyone will feel at home at Deep Roots, whether you’re still learning about wine or eager to add bottles to your home collection.”
Deep Roots Wine Market, designed by California interior designer Tara Fust, is meant to feel like Coastal California, exclusively featuring wines from California, including hard to find boutique wines.
Gurela will be on hand to discuss vintages and varieties, but guests can also take advantage of Deep Root’s Tasting Room’s self-guided wine tour using Napa Technology wine pouring stations.
Winos can sample 1-, 3- or 6-oz. pours of 24 wines using reloadable pre-paid swipe cards.
Deep Roots Wine Market is also partnering with Plum Café whereas guests can have the neighboring eatery deliver eats to a tasting room table.
“Working in Napa Valley, I really developed a passion for California wines,” Gurela said.
“The vibrant beauty of the vineyards, the aroma of the oak barrels and the distinct flavor of each wine made a lasting imprint on my soul. It’s my dream to now bring that experience to each of our guests at Deep Roots.”
