What Now Atlanta reported on an upcoming West Midtown location last spring; that Brickworks venue is a guaranteed go for summer 2023.

A pedestrian-friendly Dunwoody location for Culinary Dropout also appears to be on the horizon for parent company Fox Restaurant Concepts, which was acquired by The Cheesecake Factory in 2019.

Culinary Dropout has been announced on Ashford Lane’s online directory, joining Paris Baguette, Brown Bag Seafood Co, Fleming’s Steakhouse and Wine Bar, Yonder Yoga, and much more. What Now Atlanta reached out to Russell Owens, chief operating officer and president of Fox Restaurant Concepts, for comment but didn’t immediately hear back.

The 269,000-foot, mixed-use Ashford Lane project is a ten-minute walk from Dunwoody MARTA station and Perimeter Mall, and features restaurants, retail, offices, and entertainment venues built around a massive lawn and plaza space. It’s part of an open-container district that includes the High Street project and Perimeter Mall.

Culinary Dropout serves “classic meals done with some attitude.” The signature starter is soft pretzel bites with provolone fondue, and entrees range from pub burgers to roasted salmon with butternut farro risotto. It’s notably kid-friendly, with sports television and music for the adults. Brunch is also a standout, and the Arizona locations get positive reviews online.

Fox Restaurant Concepts has already invested successfully in Atlanta’s restaurant scene, notably health-conscious True Food Kitchen in Alpharetta and Flower Child near Lenox Mall.
