North American Properties, the developer of the Alpharetta mixed-use center, announced the news in a press release Thursday.

The restaurant will open on the west end of Avalon Boulevard across from Crate & Barrel in late 2019.

“In line with our community-driven approach, True Food Kitchen encourages people to gather together over great food and celebrate a passion for better living,” Cayley Mullen, hospitality and marketing manager at Avalon, said in the release.

“We can’t wait to have them participate in our annual events and bring their healthful, seasonal fare to the community of Alpharetta.”

True Food Kitchen in Alpharetta will occupy over 5,800 square feet of space in addition to almost 4,000 square feet of outdoor patio space, most likely replacing Road Runner Sports, at 2140 1st Street.

The health-conscious restaurant offers a menu that caters to nearly every food preference with a variant of gluten-free, naturally organic, vegetarian and vegan offerings.

It also features a “scratch bar” featuring pressed juices, organic teas, and natural refreshers.

Founded in 2008, True Food Kitchen currently has 25 locations in 11 states including California, Texas, Arizona, Georgia, Florida, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Tennessee, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.

Its first Georgia location opened at Lenox Square Mall in 2014.

The restaurant brand plans to double the number of restaurants it operates over the next three years.
