The event was held at Beat The Bomb, a new immersive team building experience located in Atlanta’s Upper Westside.
“Beat The Bomb makes for an unforgettable event or party,” said Michon van As, marketing director at Beat The Bomb. “Everything from one-of-a-kind immersive gaming experiences to the 10,000-square-foot location, with glass-walled bomb blast rooms, the Bomb Bar, and two private event spaces … Our experiences, the Mission Experience and Game Bays, are built off very simple, highly interactive, and immersive games that have the unique ability to bring together people from all backgrounds, interests, and communities — everyone is guaranteed to have a blast!”
Restaurateurs who attended the event included the team at Coffee Man, which is planning its first cafe and roastery in Blandtown. They have already opened a walk-up window at a new location of Recess restaurant in Buckhead, as well as a coffee bar at Excuse My French in Ponce City Market.
Two new restaurants for Underground Atlanta were also in attendance: Common Grounds Coffee Collective and Dolo’s Pizza, with the team at Dolo’s sharing that they have the city’s “the most creative pizza.”
Other restaurant attendees included: The B Spot, LA’s Bar & Grill, Grits and Eggs Breakfast Kitchen, Dua Vietnamese and Fish Tank Poke, Arden’s Garden, Aiskrimu Ice Cream Bar, and TydeTate Kitchen.
What Now’s Preferred Partners were also at the event, offering up advice to help the restaurateurs grow their businesses.
“As this was my first time attending, I am absolutely glad I went,” said Joshua Ajayi, regional merchant lead for DoorDash. “I encourage anyone who has a business or is wanting to start one to attend. There’s just something about like minds sharing ideas and best practices. Success stories need to be shared, as they only inspire for more. Thank you What Now Atlanta for having us!”
Charles McCollum, president of insurance agency Manry Heston, said he was pleased with the mix of professionals at the event.
“Since this was my first event, I wasn’t sure of the format, but I appreciated the structure,” McCollum said. “In addition to the standard networking opportunity, the educational aspect coupled with the attendee participation provided great insight for the restaurateurs and the partners … Overall, a great event, and I’m already looking forward to the next one.”
Other Preferred Partners included Ecolab Pest Elimination, Martin Recruiting Partners, Edward Don, Encompass Interactive, Comcast, Cintas, and A Head for Profits.
Beat The Bomb says it offers a dedicated event team to assist clients in customizing their perfect party, including bar and food packages. Customers receive free photos and videos. For more information or to book an event at Beat the Bomb, please contact [email protected].
