The new 2,100-square-foot Midtown outpost will open in partnership with local private equity firm, BetterCap, which has acquired exclusive franchise representation locally, a company spokesperson in an email told What Now Atlanta (WNA).

“Atlanta has a growing fitness scene but was lacking an option that offers a high-intensity, low-impact workout,” Jan Zalud, managing partner and founder of BetterCap, said in a prepared statement.

“CityRow’s unique and alluring offerings made it an ideal partner for us. We are excited to work with the company on expanding into the Georgia market.”

Zalud and his team plan to open at least two additional Atlanta-area CityRow studios in 2020, the entrepreneur shared with WNA.

“We are focused on opening and delivering a great workout to all the people in and around Midtown right now but as far future plans, we are exploring areas such as Buckhead, Westside, Sandy Springs, and a few others,” Zalud wrote in an email Saturday.

“As we move into 2020, we will have a better idea of the next locations.”

CityRow was founded in New York City in 2014 by Helaine Knapp, a former tech professional.

The fitness studio offers a 50-minute class format that couples high-intensity rowing intervals with weighted strength training on the mat.

Amenities include his-and-her lockers with individual keypads, showers, private restrooms and changing rooms, and twenty handcrafted WaterRowers.
