Amy Selig over the weekend opened her third Stellar Bodies, this time in The Works, an 80-acre adaptive mixed-use development in Upper Westside. The new Stellar Bodies features 2,200 square feet of space housing 14 Megaformers and retail, at 1235 Chattahoochee Avenue Suite 160, and joins locations in Buckhead and Midtown.

“We are thrilled to continue to build the Stellar Bodies brand throughout the city,” Selig said in a prepared statement. “It’s inspiring to see new students join our fitness movement and become stronger and push themselves further with the understanding that our workout can help them mentally and physically. We’re living through challenging times right now and our workout is providing so many people with a well-needed break from the news.”

Incorporating a combination of resistance and counter-resistance with select modified Pilates movements and hands-on instruction, the Stellar Bodies program focuses on strengthening, toning and muscle lengthening via an “ultra-powerful, low-impact workout” in under an hour. Stellar Bodies in The Works features the latest M3 model Megaformer — a Pilates Reformer with extra bells and whistles. Classes are socially distanced, with individuals perched on their own Megaformer spaced six feet apart.

“Selig began this journey nearly a decade ago when she saw the fitness pendulum swing to specialized, small group training and classes,” a spokesperson said. “At the time, she owned a personal training gym. After extensive research, she discovered the Lagree Fitness Method while on a retreat in Arizona. She realized she could apply her personal training background and customer engagement savvy to make the concept even better in Atlanta. She and a partner brought the Lagree Fitness Method home, opening the first Stella Bodies in Buckhead.”
