BODYROK offers 45-minute full-body exercise classes. The classes implement a custom reformer machine for a pilates-inspired workout designed to provide energy and sculpt and define the muscles.

Meredith Lobb, the owner of BODYROK Atlanta, describes the classes as “fun, energetic and challenging.”

“We like to keep it fun and fresh,” she told What Now Atlanta. “We definitely have a lot of variety in the moves and the routines to keep it exciting and challenging for our clients.”

Lobb became a fan of BODYROK when living in New York City. She grew interested in leaving the corporate world and doing something entrepreneurial. Upon moving to Atlanta last year, helping bring her favorite fitness concept to her new home seemed like a perfect next step.

“I knew I wanted to do something like this,” she said. “All the stars aligned. It felt like the next right move. I’m so excited about it.”

The studio’s location at Colony Square is ideal for the concept, she said, with good accessibility for those walking from nearby apartments and offices, in addition to available parking for those who are driving. (BODYROK clients at Colony Square will be able to receive validated parking.)

“Fitness is something that’s a habit,” Lobb said. “I want people to come five days a week, or at least two or three or four. So I want to make that experience seamless for them.”

She was also drawn to the retail mix of the area. Being located in Midtown, visitors to the studio can grab a coffee or a quick lunch and check a couple items off their to-do list, incorporating their workout smoothly into their daily routine.

Accessibility to the workout itself is a key value too.

“All of our classes are welcome for beginners,” Lobb said. “It’s very important to me and the brand that clients of all experiences feel welcome and also feel they’re set up for success. Some of these fitness classes can feel daunting for people who have never done them before. We train our instructors and set up the format of our classes to make sure those beginners are educated before the class starts, guide them through the workout, and welcome people of all experience levels.”

BODYROK was founded in California in 2012. There are now about 30 locations in several states across the U.S., with more in development.

Lobb is one of the people working to grow the BODYROK brand, with plans to open more locations in Atlanta down the line. With the city attracting a ton of new residents, and commercial development continuing to boom, that growth makes Atlanta an appealing city for new concepts to flourish.

“There’s a ton of opportunity for businesses to come in and serve those growing communities with all the development happening,” she said.

BODYROK Atlanta is expected to open this summer. The studio is currently hiring instructors, and other positions will be available.
