The development will be adjacent to Disco Kroger, which is getting ready for its own Extreme Makeover, Development Edition.

Currently, the shopping plaza features a Marshall’s, Pier 1 Imports, and LA Fitness. The new project will boast a Hampton Inn and Suites, 170 residential units, and 20,000 square feet of retail space.

Hampton Inn and Suite’s proposal for the site includes an 8-story hotel that is sized at 136,582 square feet. This includes a 26,722 square foot underground parking garage, 5,643 square feet of shell space that includes a future restaurant and retail, and 104,217 square feet of 186 guest rooms.

The project is a more scaled-back development from what was originally proposed for the site.

Construction is slated to commence in the next few months.
