Anthony Gould, the general manager of the new establishment, told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in an email Wednesday that there is a new management team “with a superior level of experience to really take dankbäar to new heights.”

Dankbaar Taco is a more casual fusion concept. The menu – which has been posted to Caviar – features tacos and burgers as well as southern items such as biscuits and gravy and grits.

The eatery opened two days ago.

According to Gould, the company “is a corporation with several individuals that add equal value to the business,” and the “current owner”  has “stayed on board as a creative cultivator as her skill sets and knowledge around food are a substantial asset to the business.”

This past December, Tracy Mitchell – owner and chef of Bad Dog Taqueria – was arrested in Dekalb County and charged with first-degree homicide by vehicle, reckless driving, and two counts of hit and run. It is unknown at the time whether Mitchell is the owner which Gould was referring to.

It is unclear whether the restaurant will still be expanding to Old Fourth Ward.

  1. So Tracy R Mitchell, murderer is still the owner of this establishment? You aren’t fooling anyone by remaining a “silent” partner. I urge people not to give their money to a sociopath who murdered in cold blood out of pure jealous and rage. Tracy belongs behind bars for life.
