The award-winning barbecue joint will be situated in the new “BeltLine Kroger” in the 725 Ponce development.

Its first day is on the books for October 16.

B’s Cracklin’ BBQ will open as a “counter restaurant” where the checkout process is done at a shared registered.

It is in addition to a forthcoming, yet-to-be-disclosed replacement for the Riverside location that suffered a devastating fire earlier this year.

“You have all been asking and we have the latest news to share,” the restaurant published to its Facebook page Tuesday.

“B’s Cracklin’ BBQ has partnered with and {is} opening our newest location at {BeltLine} Kroger in Atlanta!”

Bryan Furman is operating the new location as a tenant and has not relinquished any control over to Kroger, the owner and pitmaster told Eater Atlanta.

Furman will roll out the restaurant’s menu in stages, reving up its offerings to match local demand.

  1. Hope they are more consistent with their food and offerings. The Riverside location was constantly out of common items for a BBQ restaurant and the consistency was terrible. Especially when the owner wasn’t around.

  2. Caleb,
I look forward to your “What Now Atlanta” column every morning and am particularly glad to see when new places are to be opened in Sandy Springs. It’s great to see how Atlanta continues to grow in ALL areas. You’re presenting news that I haven’t seen on other local websites. Thanks for the wonderful and important job you’re doing.
    Walter
