The authentic Mexican restaurant is planned for 880 W Peachtree Street NW, according to a building permit application with the City of Atlanta.

Owner Roberto “Beto” Correa first opened Beto’s Tacos in Suwanee in 2019. There are now additional locations in Lawrenceville, Alpharetta, Johns Creek and at Phipps Plaza in Buckhead. According to the restaurant’s website, a location is also planned for Avondale Estates.

The restaurant is best known for its authentic Mexican street tacos, but the menu also includes tortas, nachos, burritos, soups and more.

The new 2,300-square-foot location of Beto’s Tacos would be located on the ground floor of the Alexan on 8th apartment complex, near the Historic Academy of Medicine and the Renaissance Atlanta Midtown Hotel. The restaurant would be open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The space was formerly occupied by the fast-casual Mexican chain Qdoba.

  1. If it’s anything like the one in Cumming, do yourself a favor and take a pass. Overpriced for mediocre (at best) food.
