The new development planned for 3220 N. McDonough Road would include 1,487 housing units and 10 acres of commercial space, according to plans filed recently with the state’s Developments of Regional Impact (DRI) program.

The developer of the project is listed as North Towaliga, LP, which according to a filing with the Georgia Secretary of State’s office, is an affiliate of Minerva USA.

Minerva USA is a privately owned Atlanta-based real estate investment company. According to the company’s LinkedIn page, Minerva USA has experience with 20 multifamily projects containing 3,000 units, 14 shopping centers, three hotels and 750,000 square feet of office space.

According to the DRI filing, the Locust Grove project has an estimated completion date of 2032.

Locust Grove is south of Atlanta.

  1. Please correct the address in your article. It should read 1750 GA Hwy 155 South. This mistake freaked out a lot of folks who live in the 1750 area of GA Hwy 155 North, which is where a huge park, fire station and Baptist Church are located.
