Bell Street Burritos is being “forced to move” from its Westside home of only eight months, according to a post on the burrito joint’s Facebook page last week.

Bell Street opened its West Midtown location late 2011, replacing the shuttered Social House restaurant.

“…we are being forced to move, due to the sale of the property to a national auto-parts retailer,” according to the post.

Bell Street plans on relocating, the post notes.

“…The great news is that we are pleased to report that the next location of Bell Street Burritos shall be the Irwin Street Market on the border of Old Fourth Ward and Inman Park, located only one block from both Stoveworks and Studioplex.”

  1. Anybody know when this place will be operating in the Old Fourth Ward? And will they be open evenings and weekends?
I’ve heard nothing but compliments for Bell Street, and with the paved Beltline Trail, they will be a five-minute walk away.

  2. If they tear that cute building down and build a suburban-style Advance Auto Parts store, I will be very disappointed. Would be typical Atlanta style.

  3. I love their burritos that I’ve has at the Curb Market. Honestly, I never visited the west side location because that section of Howell Mill Rd is, in my opinion, an ugly mess and I just don’t like going there. I hope this Irwin location is open at night and/or on the weekend so I can get there regularly.

  4. Saw the sign going up at Irwin Street Market (is it still Irwin Street Market?). Hopefully it will open soon! Love their burritos!

  5. hopefully the new location won’t have religious references on their sign….its a turnoff when a restaurant makes religious statements on their streetside signage.

But I’m sure you would be fine with voodoo skulls and devil dolls, right?
