  1. Yes, this is going where Swit was located.

Swit was awesome but it had terrible hours (only open 5 during the weekdays). I think it’s odd that the new concept (which I’m assuming are the same owners) would continue to have strange hours. Granted now they’ll be open during the evening, but why close from 2:30 – 5?)

  2. Cool — I like the sound of a French (at lest partially) menu. I love that kind of classic bistro food and I’ve been bummed that casual French places have not fared well intown for some reason. It’ll be interesting to see how this turns out.

  3. Just what we need… another sit down restaurant. What made Swit so wonderful was that it was a quality, casual place where you could grab stuff to go or just quickly eat it there. Why does nothing quality ever last in this city? I’m surprised Alon’s has lasted this long.

  4. The menu seemed very pork obsessed. Although I eat pork there are many others that do not and I had to leave because I was with that person. Common sense would usually tell a restaurant to have more that one option of meat/fish choice.

  5. Disappointed my previous comment didn’t get approved. Hope that’s not a trend on this site.

Unfortunately this place will fail, due to it’s inappropriateness in the neighborhood. Anyone could have called this out of the gates. Opening a cafe across the street from Octane was just plain stupid. In good news, this space has been beautifully built out and will make a great home for a restauranteur who has their finger on the pulse of West Midtown’s wants and needs.

Swit was overpriced and underwhelming. I expect the same out of this new iteration.
