Plans for the concept were first filed and unveiled by What Now Atlanta (WNA) in 2014.

Erik Maier, CEO of Young + Hungry (formerly Better Brands), the company behind Yeah! Burger, confirmed the grand opening news in an email to WNA.

The restaurant is situated in 1071 Howell Mill Road, an adaptive mixed-use project near Westside Ironworks that was aquired by Westbridge Partners in 2012 though a partnership with The Meddin Co., and shares space with Blue Pearl Animal Hospital.

Upbeet will serve organic, “customizable food” like made-to-order salads, grains bowls, smoothie bowls, yogurt bowls, smoothies and toast, according to the restaurant’s website.

The menu includes vegan, vegetarian, paleo, and gluten-free options.

“Like sister concept Yeah! Burger, Upbeet aims to raise the bar in sustainable business practices through its numerous green efforts. Upbeet’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner options will bring clean, convenient food to west midtown Atlanta on June 10!”
