Simon Guobadia, the restauranteur who in 2015 opened Time Restaurant & Lounge in Straits’ place, is set to launch Simon’s there in partnership with Chef Marvin Woods (of the the now-shuttered Asante.)

Time, at 793 Juniper Street, quietly shuttered over the weekend after having temporarily closed for “renovations” early 2016, less than a year after opening – a telltale that a restaurant is flailing.

Simon’s, a concept with “global influence,” would replace Time this spring, Guobadia in a telephone interview Thursday told What Now Atlanta.

Expect small, shareable plates, a raw bar with a rotating menu of oysters, and Simon’s take on sushi, he said.
