A TV and film hairstylist and a barber are partnering to open their first restaurant.
Cassandra Powell and Reggie Robertson are behind a new breakfast and brunch concept called The B Spot. The sit-down restaurant will open at 6335 Jonesboro Rd. in Morrow.
“I wanted to bring something that would be different than the norm,” Powell said in a phone interview.
As a mother of five, she said she’s often shocked how expensive “trendy” brunch places can be. She wanted to create a more affordable breakfast and brunch option that would be family-focused.
“I feel like people should be able to experience a great meal … at an affordable price, so they will be able to take their family and friends out,” Powell said.
She said the menu for the restaurant is still under development, but one focus will be speciality pancakes.
The hope is to open by Thanksgiving, but the launch could get pushed into the first week of December, Powell said.
