A business license was filed in Atlanta for Sugar Daddy Cookies at 3393 Peachtree Road.
The concept is from William Lewis and his wife, Mimi, according to the company’s website.
Lewis in an email to What Now Atlanta said they hope to open Sugar Daddy Cookies early next year.
“We are waiting on our menus and some minor work to be completed,” Lewis said.
Sugar Daddy Cookies currently has a location at Cumberland Mall, and the couple hopes to add more cookie shops in the future.
“We definitely plan to expand, but we want to make sure we give our Lenox Mall location the proper roll out and attention before expanding,” Lewis said.
A GoFundMe was set up to help raise money for the expansion. It says Sugar Daddy Cookies started during the pandemic when Lewis was “bored in the house.” He baked his wife some cookies, and they soon became a hit with friends and colleagues. They sold their first dozen on Valentine’s Day in 2021, and then became vendors at Atlanta festivals and conferences. The Cumberland location followed in November 2021.
“With your help, our cookie store can compete with some of the biggest names in the industry, such as Insomnia Cookies, Crumbl, and Tiff’s Treats,” says the GoFundMe.
