Is the future bright for new Decatur woman’s clothing retailer?

Spotlight Boutique Atlanta will open in Deactur, Decatur Metro first reported.

Taking the now shuttered Pambili space in the Artisan Building at 201 West Ponce de Leon Avenue (unit 117), the woman’s clothing retailer is scheduled to open April 25, according to Kai Moolenaar-Richards, owner of the boutique.

What Now Atlanta asked Moolenaar-Richards to shed some light on her new retail venture in an email Tuesday night.

“We carry up-to date trends and classics that everyone can appreciate, with a lovable price tag to match,” Moolenaar-Richards said.

What Now Atlanta learned Tuesday the boutique will specialize in “party dresses,” according to Moolenaar-Richards, who said Spotlight will carry apparel including “everyday wear” and “club wear” along with accessories, handbags, shoes, fragrances and candles.

Living close by was rationale for launching her business in Decatur.

“It’s close to home for me as a single mom,” Moolenaar-Richards said. “Where else than Downtown Decatur to bring a jewel box of a department store?”

And the pièce de résistance, almost as corny as our headline, Spotlight’s mission statement:

“When you shine, we shine. So when you want to look your best, please remember to check us out at Spotlight Boutique where Fashion Shines!”

Shine on Decatur!
