Located near the Inspire Brands’ Atlanta Global Support Center, the new Sandy Springs Drive-In is corporately owned and operated and will feature drive-thru service, as well as nine drive-in stalls and a patio with four outdoor tables. Sandy Springs SONIC guests can also place an order online or through the SONIC App for contactless ordering and payment.

The Sandy Springs Drive-In plans to employ 70-75 team members from the local area.

“We’re thrilled to expand SONIC’s presence in Atlanta with a restaurant less than two miles from the Inspire Brands Global Support Center,” said John Kelly, Chief Company Restaurant Officer at Inspire Brands in a statement. “The Sandy Springs location is one of four corporate-owned SONIC restaurants opening in the Atlanta area over the next year, and we look forward to bringing more delicious meals, treats, drinks, and job opportunities to the communities we live in and serve.”

Last fall, SONIC opened its LaGrange, Georgia, location and is planning to open locations in Cornelia, Blairsville and Fayetteville by early 2024. In total, SONIC will provide more than 200 jobs for the Atlanta community across the five locations.

With hundreds of thousands of flavors and drink combinations, including limeades, burgers, hot dogs and more, SONIC’s menu offers made-to-order and customizable breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack options.

SONIC also donates a portion of drink, slush and shake sales to support local public education through the brand’s Limeades for Learning initiative. Since 2009, SONIC has donated more than $23 million to fund local classrooms, becoming one of the largest programs to support public education in the U.S.
