Dwell Design Studio is sharing renderings of aptly-named ‘The Kirkwood,’ a 266-unit apartment complex being developed by Euramex.

Curbed Atlanta reports that the project will be all rentals and not (another) mixed-use complex.

The project, located off Hosea Williams Drive along Howard and Bixby, is described by Dwell as market rate apartments with a wood framed construction wrapped around a precast, concrete parking deck.

In addition, ‘The Kirkwood’ will boast 6,500 sq. ft. of clubroom, fitness, and leasing office space.

Curbed reports that Euramex has previously announced that the most expensive two-bedroom units would top out at $1,600, and that leasing would begin in 2017.

  1. I think Atlanta is well on its way to an apartment glut – topping mixed use or stand alone. What will aging, half empty complexes do to the neighborhoods surrounding them? Time to slow down, developers. You’re now playing Russian Roulette with the next real estate bubble. Don’t do it to Atlanta again.

  2. I think Atlanta should focus on affordable housing for seniors 55+. Everyone can’t afford to pay $1100 for a 1 bedroom apartment plus utilities plus medical bills with pension or social security income.
