According to recent permits, the Atticus Franchise Group has plans to open another Wingstop location in the recently constructed Mount Zion Plaza Shopping Center at 7102 Mt Zion Blvd. Atticus Franchise Group is an Atlanta-based private equity firm that specializes in franchised and multi-unit businesses and has plans to expand the company’s investment in the Wingstop franchise, as the group owns and operates other Wingstop locations in Georgia and North Carolina, as well as running several Sonic Drive-In restaurants and Message Envy storefronts.
The new 12,900-square-foot construction shopping center will have a mix of local and national retailers, where Wingstop will occupy 1,287 square feet. The chain is part of a familiar list of tenants coming to the newly built plaza. Neighboring businesses in the plaza include Dunkin’ Donuts, GNC, Jersey Mike’s, and Noire, a nail bar concept. Northmarq, the commercial real estate company that built Mount Zion is looking for a buyer to purchase the 7 million dollar shopping center, according to their company site.
Wingstop will continue serving wings dripping in flavor. All wings are hot and made-to-order with dips — favorites include the famously made-from-scratch ranch dipping sauce, bleu cheese, and more. The store will include Wingstop’s 11 signature flavors – from lemon pepper to the sweetened heat of mango habanero in either boneless or classic wings, as well as tenders available with hand-cut, seasoned fries and other signature sides like cajun fried corn or buffalo ranch fries.
