A new children’s shoe store is in the works in Kirkwood.

Go Play Shoes is going into a one-story space at 1971 College Avenue NE. According to the company website, it will feature shoe brands that prioritize pediatric orthopedics, fair-labor practices and environmental sustainability.

According to a recent building permit application with the City of Atlanta, the store will be 1,283 square feet. The scope of the work includes new paint, ceilings and duct work, as well as new display shelving and a new sales counter.

Ownership of Go Play Shoes couldn’t be reached for information on when the store is expected to open, but stay tuned for the opening date on their Instagram @GoPlayShoes.

According to a filing with the Georgia Secretary of State’s office, Go Play Shoes LLC was created in July 2023.
