A permit was filed in Atlanta to bring “Heavy House Cafe” to 488 Edgewood Avenue, a two-story brick building built in the early 1900s.

Jason Geter is listed as the property owner on the permit application.

Geter is a veteran of the music industry, having previously co-founded hip-hop record label Grand Hustle Records with rapper T.I. He later discovered and signed Travis Scott, according to Success magazine.

Today, Geter is founder and CEO of Heavy Sound Labs, an incubator for emerging artists who are looking to start careers in music.

“Heavy Sound Labs partners with artists at the development stage and strategically applies resources to amplify their audience and gain cultural traction with a goal of signing them with a major label within 24 months,” says a 2020 article published when Heavy Sound Labs launched

Geter is also the founder of men’s lifestyle brand Strivers Row USA and a partner in AKOO clothing brand, according to his LinkedIn.

It’s unclear exactly what Geter plans for his new concept on Edgewood Avenue. He declined an interview request at this time, saying he wanted to wait until he establishes an opening date.

The permit filed in Atlanta said the buildout for the retail space and cafe could cost $950,000. The construction would include adding a new 425-square-foot solarium structure, along with a 900-square-foot courtyard, according to the permit.

According to Fulton County property records, Geter Enterprises LLC paid $1.525 million for the building at 488 Edgewood Ave. in June 2020.
