Calvin Phan, owner of Poor Calvin’s Absolute Fusion in Midtown, is working on a new concept at 345 Edgewood Avenue NE.

Hungry Ghost, named after a Chinese concept for creatures afflicted with insatiable desire, hunger or thirst after death, would bring a quality option to the mostly nightlife-oriented neighborhood.

The eatery will be a smaller, more simplified and inexpensive quick-service version of the Southern/Thai fusion restaurant, Phan told What Now Atlanta Tuesday.

Expect more simplified takes on Poor Calvin’s popular menu items such as the restaurant’s lobster mac and cheese.

Hungry Ghost plans to serve up lunch and dinner into the very late hours.

Do you think the concept will do well at this location? Tell us below…
