Modern Animal is proposed for 112 Krog Street, according to a building permit application with the City of Atlanta. The site at Atlanta Stove Works is adjacent to the BeltLine Eastside Trail and across from Krog Street Market.
The clinic is set to include four exam rooms, a lobby, an office and an employee break area, according to the documents. A restroom and janitor’s closet will also be added next door. The estimated cost of construction on the space is about $860,547.
This would be Modern Animal’s first time expanding into Georgia. The company currently has locations in Texas and California, where it was founded in 2019 by Steven Eidelman. The company’s mission is “to better the lives of animals by building a place that’s better for all of us who love them.”
The membership-based clinics offer primary and preventative veterinary care, diagnostics, dental care and some surgeries. Virtual care is also available.
Modern Animal expressed plans last year to expand into Georgia, Arizona and Colorado.
