Citizen Supply later this month will debut Likewise Eatery and Bar, according to a press release Thursday.
A weekend flea market pop-up and an in-store greenhouse are also planned for the 12,000-square-foot marketplace in Ponce City Market.
Likewise Eatery, which could open early-winter 2018, will be housed in the center of Citizen Supply’s gallery-like space.
The restaurant will serve as a “hang-out, where patrons can dine and drink while perusing the shop’s rotating collection of makerspaces that include apparel offerings, home goods and handmade items from over 160 artists and brands, such as Richer Poorer, In God We Must, KMM & Co., Apolis, Brick and Mortar and more.”
Beverage Director Ben Richardson has created a menu of libations including Cats and Dogs, a fizzy cocktail of vodka, aperitivo, grapefruit and soda; Eastwood, which features bourbon, vermouth, sherry and amaro; and Mojo, an aged rum cocktail with sparkling brachetto, fresh lime and mint.
Chef Jason Jimenez of Kitchen Six and Homespun is behind Likewise’s food menu, which will feature seasonally driven snacks, light bites and shareable plates.
Grace-Made’s Savannah Metcalf is behind the design of Likewise Eatery.
It will offer a 25-seat communal lounge area and an open bar area that accommodates an additional 20 guests.
The revamped Citizen Supply space also features an open-roof greenhouse from The Victorian Atlanta that will retail tropical potted plants, exotic cacti and handmade gardening items.
Citizen Supply will also host an ongoing pop-up flea market beginning November 24.
Held every Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 7 p.m., the pop-up will highlight a rotation of brands selling the latest handmade, small-batch and vintage items.
“Headed up by Atlanta-based creative entrepreneur Phil Sanders, Citizen Supply bridges the gap between artists, small brands, makers and consumers, while redefining traditional retail,” according to the press release.
Citizen Supply in Old Fourth Ward partners with over 160 brands, craftsmen and women from the Southeast and across the nation.
