Ice cream dessert shop melts alongside Snowtrina 2011
Sno-Flake Ice House has temporarily closed. Or so they claim.
Located at 240 N Highland avenue in Inman Park, the dessert shop recently posted a sign announcing they’d be closed for sometime.
“Dear customers: due to the nature of our product being seasonal, we will remain closed throughout the winter months. Thank you for your understanding.”
Lately, there has been a strange rash of restaurants that have “closed temporarily” for a number of reasons: renovations, the time of year, waiting-for-money-to-fall-from-the-sky-so-we-can-renew-our-liquor-license-syndrome, etc.
Their website doesn’t mesh well with their signage. Online, they state they’re open and have special winter hours.
Phone calls to the shop go unanswered and their isn’t a recording informing potential customers of their temporary closure.
Our last flake of evidence: their Facebook and Twitter properties are more desolate than Atlanta during an ice storm.
So, is this legit or will they quit?

I live in Inman Park and have been to this place. It’s not good. It’s got a very strange vibe to it, an 8 year old serving the “ice cream”.
If it were a sno cone place, I’m not saying it would do great, but it’d be better than the terrible “ice flake” stuff they are selling now. Also, all their little paper signs saying “don’t touch this” and “don’t touch that” don’t add a lot for the ambiance.
So, my money is that this place has shut down completely. I’m surprised it’s lasted as long as it has.
There is a New Yogurt shop that open in L5P next to Savage Pizza Igloo Zoo ….Does not look like typical YS. Ate pizza then checked them out…I was very impressed with the taste….Limited flavors but loads of toppings…Just a heads up to a new NAYS!!! OH!! Great customer service…They are running a .99cent deal !! can’t beat that!!!
