Aisha “Pinky” Cole launched Slutty Vegan in 2018 as a pop-up concept and food truck. In January 2019 she opened the first brick-and-mortar takeout restaurant, and now in 2020, she owns a total of three locations and two food trucks.

“We are thrilled to move into the historic Edgewood District of Atlanta,” Cole said in a press release. “Edgewood is the exact neighborhood where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. grew up. It’s a true blessing to continue opening new locations when there are so many other small businesses whose doors have closed during the global pandemic. I want to empower those business owners to never give up on their dreams and continue to fight for what they love and what I know they too can accomplish.”

The Edgewood Atlanta restaurant location features an expanded menu with more choices and new items, including traditional fan favorites as well. As with its restaurants in the Westend and Jonesboro, the Edgewood location remains takeout only for now, due to the ongoing health crisis. Cole reportedly has her sights set on Birmingham next, according to Bham Now. The restaurateur brought the Slutty Vegan food truck to the Alabama City last month to announce plans to open a location there.
