Emory Village To Get Recently-Launched Buffalo Wild Wings ‘GO’ Takeaway Concept

New restaurant format is designed specifically for takeout and delivery orders.

There is an update to this post: Buffalo Wild Wings GO Now Open In Emory Village

Buffalo Wild Wings is opening its newly-launched “GO” takeaway-centric restaurant in Emory Village, according to a Request for Proposals (RFP) Wednesday seeking a firm to build out the planned storefront. Buffalo Wild Wings GO would replace Romeo’s Pizza, at 1401 Oxford Road, in a 1,952-square-foot space sandwiched between Chase Bank and Chipotle Mexican Grill. It would be the second-known outpost for the new brand which launched in May 2020 with a Sandy Springs location.

“I am thrilled to introduce the new ‘GO’ model in our own backyard of Atlanta, Georgia,” John Bowie, chief operating officer of Buffalo Wild Wings, said in a press release when the Sandy Springs restaurant opened earlier this year. “We’ve seen the success of this model over the past six weeks, with our takeout and delivery business growing over 140 percent. Buffalo Wild Wings ‘GO’ is perfect for friends and family who want to enjoy our authentic, New York-style buffalo wings at home.”

The new restaurant format is designed specifically for takeout and delivery orders and features a walk-up counter, digital menu boards, “condensed seating,” and TVs for guests to “enjoy while waiting for their orders.” Guests who order ahead will be able to pick up their meal from heated takeout lockers for a contactless experience.

The GO model offers traditional and boneless wings, hand-breaded tenders, sides, and all 23 Buffalo Wild Wings sauces and dry rubs. An opening timeline has not been disclosed, but given the restaurant is still in the planning stages, look for a debut in 2021 at the earliest.
