Dutch Bros Coffee is expected to be constructed at 2465 Buford Drive, according to a building permit application. The drive-thru coffee spot would be about 950 square feet. The site is located near Coolray Field.

Dutch Bros Coffee currently has more than 800 locations. CEO Christine Barone said earlier this year that the company is particularly focused on the Florida, Texas and Tennessee markets, and that they will start moving up the East Coast as part of their expansion strategy.

Georgia is also on the docket, a state currently lacking in Dutch Bros Coffee. But that won’t be true for much longer. In addition to the location near Coolray Field, one is also in the works in Johns Creek.

Senior Vice President of Development for Dutch Bros Coffee Aaron Harris told What Now Atlanta that the Lawrenceville and Johns Creek locations are expected to start construction in Q1 of 2025.

The Oregon-based coffee company was founded in 1992. The brand grew a large following primarily in the Pacific Northwest and on the West Coast before expanding across the U.S. The menu includes a lineup of coffee beverages, energy drinks, soda, tea, lemonade and the signature muffin tops.

The company started franchising in 1999, but they eventually switched to opening only corporate-owned locations.
