Gino's East of Chicago to Replace Rize Artisan Pizza in Poncey-Highland

Signage this week went up at the space announcing the forthcoming pizzeria, the first in Georgia.

Gino's East of Chicago is expanding to Georgia with an Atlanta outpost.

The Chicago-based restaurant chain since 1966 will replace the now-shuttered Rize Artisan Pizza in Poncey-Highland, at 675 N. Highland Avenue.

Signage recently went up at the space announcing the new outpost and a Facebook page and website have also been created for the new location.

The corporate-owned location is set to debut mid-July, a company spokesperson Monday told What Now Atlanta in an email.

The restaurant will serve deep-dish-style pizza alongside appetizers, salads, and sandwiches.

Gino's East has 16 locations nationwide including the forthcoming Atlanta outpost, according to the restaurant's website.
