Owner Garis Eddington in early-November closed the quick-service eatery, at 3186 Roswell Rd NW (in space formerly occupied by Genki Noodles), with plans to reopen in mid-December as Hide Kitchen & Cocktails after nearly one month of renovations.

It’s a move Eddington feels is necessary to cater to the “high-end” clientele in Buckhead.

“We’re converting the space into more of a lounge-style environment to match the Buckhead lifestyle,” Eddington told What Now Atlanta in a telephone interview Sunday.

“The Flying Crust menu will stay but we’ve added in table-service and high-end cocktails with mixologists, and are changing the concept into something that Buckhead is missing.”

When Flying Crust opened in Buckhead earlier this year, a separate space in the back called Hide was operating as a speakeasy.

Eddington is basically expanding the speakeasy portion of the restaurant into the entire space and removing the quick-service element of Flying Crust, he said.

Key improvements to the interior include three fireplaces, an enclosed outdoor patio for year-round use, and a revamped bar.

Valet has been added and there are now 110 parking spaces.

“It’s all cosmetic,” Eddington said.

“Everything, including our food, will be the same.”

In early-2020 Flying Crust is opening in Conyers, at 1870 GA-20.

That location will also be sit-down and full-service, but more of a sports bar “like Yardhouse.”
