Curry Up Now has inked deals for three Atlanta-area locations: North Decatur Square, Madison Yards, and The Interlock development.
Plans for the fast-casual Indian eatery’s expansion into the market were first unveiled in April.
“Atlanta has a great up-and-coming food scene, but no one is doing Indian the way Curry Up Now is,” Hemant Suri, the Atlanta Curry Up Now franchisee, said in a prepared statement Friday.
“When we heard about Curry Up Now and saw what they were doing, we knew we had to be the first ones to bring the brand and their unique and innovative cuisine to Atlanta.”
Suri earlier this year sold his Midtown Tavern concept to focus on growing the Curry Up Now brand locally.
“The Indian fast casual is known for its non-traditional take on Indian classics, like their iconic Tikka Masala Burrito, Deconstructed Samosa, Naughty Naan (Indian-style pizza), and Sexy Fries (an Indian poutine, of sorts),” a company spokesperson in an email told What Now Atlanta.
The new Decatur location, at 1555 Church Street, will be the first of five locations planned for Atlanta.
Openings in Madison Yards (905 Memorial Dr. SE) and The Interlock (1115 Howell Mill Rd NW) will follow.
Timelines have not been set for the new restaurants, but all of the developments that will be home to the forthcoming locations are under-construction.
