The new store brings the region’s total to three, a little more than two years after the specialty coffee franchise debuted in Georgia with its initial Cumming location.

The new outpost will be operated by franchisee Justin Fitzhugh, who debuted the specialty coffee company in Georgia with a previous Cumming outpost a little more than two years ago.

At the time, Fitzhugh told What Now Atlanta, “We feel this market could use more options for specialty coffee.”

Fitzhugh did not immediately return a request for comment on this story.

The Human Bean began as a humble drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998, before expanding its operations through franchising in 2002. Today, the company has more than 300 locations that are either open or under development in 25 states, according to its website.

Specialty espresso drinks are doubtlessly The Human Bean’s brand, with an extensive menu of inspired Seasonal Specials, House Specials, Frozen Favorites, and Classics, including an Irish Cream Breve, The Muddy, Salted Caramel Latte, Granita, Java Chip, and all manner of espresso drinks, from a Cappuccino to a simple shot.

As is written on its website, “The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.”
