Located in the Ashford Lane development, the new restaurant will feature bites and beverages along with live music, big-screen televisions and outdoor dining space.
This will be the second Culinary Dropout location in Georgia, after the first one opened in Atlanta’s Westside last November.
The concept comes from James Beard-nominated restaurateur Sam Fox.
“Our commitment to providing the best hospitality perfectly aligns with the heart of the Dunwoody community,” Fox, founder of Fox Restaurant Concepts, said in a news release. “As we open our newest Culinary Dropout in Ashford Lane, our vision is to create more than just a restaurant. We’re building an inviting space where families and friends can come together and share fun experiences alongside awesome food and drinks.”
Designed by Gensler, Culinary Dropout in Dunwoody features layers of textured, raw materials with a focus on a green color palette, including forest-toned booths and suspended foliage lining the bar. Art-driven elements speak to the city’s mix of urban and refined aesthetics and contribute to the brand’s elevated neighborhood bar concept.
Culinary Dropout serves brunch, lunch and dinner. Fan favorites include the pretzel bites and provolone fondue, 36-hour pork ribs and fried chicken drizzled with honey. The beverage program includes a variety of craft beers, wine and craft cocktails.
The restaurant will have a stage for live music and an array of TVs for streaming sporting events. Private event space will be available to book for groups and events.
“We are excited for the final piece of the reimaging transformation of Ashford Lane as we welcome Sam Fox’s second Georgia location for the highly successful Culinary Dropout,” said John P. Albright, president and CEO of CTO Realty Growth, Inc. “We are thrilled with the success of elevating Ashford Lane and providing an exciting experience and offerings that have made Ashford Lane the gathering place for the Dunwoody community.”
Culinary Dropout is now hiring for all hourly positions, including host, food runner, busser, bar back, bartender, server, dishwasher, prep cook, baker or pastry chef and line cook.
Fox opened his first concept, Wildflower American Cuisine, in Tucson in 1998, and has since introduced several Fox Restaurant Concepts brands including The Henry, North Italia, Blanco Cocina + Cantina and Flower Child. In total, the group now has 12 unique concepts with more than 60 locations across the U.S.
Ashford Lane is a 282,109-square-foot property with a variety of local and national dining, office, lifestyle, shopping and entertainment concepts. The site features a new greenspace that serves as street-level public space for community gatherings and dining al fresco at the restaurants.
