“After spending several years in Atlanta looking for a decent Cuban sandwich, I decided to take matters into my own hands,” Owner Ozzy Llanes said in a prepared statement. Llanes designed and built the commercialized tiny restaurant himself over two months.

Cubano’s ATL offers a variety of Cuban sandwiches that focus on locally sourced organic ingredients with Llanes’ generational family recipes in mind. Llanes has partnered with La Segunda Central Bakery, the “oldest” Cuban bread maker in the United States, to provide bread for the sandwiches. Cubano’s ATL also offers homemade Flan, sodas, and traditional Cuban coffees such as Café Con Leche, Cordatidos, Coladas, Americanos, and Lattes’.

The eatery is currently takeout only and is serving lunch Tuesday through Saturday, with plans to open for breakfast later this Summer.

    1. Haven’t tried it, but based on the pic, I’m skeptical. Buena Gente has the best Cuban sandwich I’ve had outside of Miami and better than most I’ve had in Miami.

  1. A must-try if you’re a fan of Cuban sandwiches. Pair it with a Materva, finish it off with a colada – the best espresso I’ve had in Atlanta in 20 years.
