A building permit application Friday was filed in Gwinnett County to construct the 35,000-square-foot cinema complex at Peachtree Corners Town Center from the ground up.

CinéBistro Peachtree Corners, in the 5200 Block of Peachtree Parkway, was first announced in July.

“We are very excited to be adding a second CinéBistro location to our portfolio in the Atlanta area and continue to look at several other areas within the metro for continued expansion,” Fred Meyers, Vice President of CinéBistro, said at the time of the announcement.

The 6-screen/600-seat cinema will show the “latest blockbusters” and independent films.

The national “upscale cinema and in-theatre dining experience” from Cobb Theatres will be the second Atlanta-area location. CinéBistro at Town Brookhaven opened back in September 2011.

Peachtree Corners Town Center is being developed by Fuqua Development.
