The retailer is going into a more than 24,000-square-foot space on the first level of Buckhead Station, a shopping center that also includes Nordstrom Rack, World Market, Saks OFF 5th, Ulta Beauty and more.
The estimated cost of construction for the store is $1,250,000, according to a building permit application with the City of Atlanta. The scope of work includes some non-structural demolition, as well as new partitions, ceilings, lighting, and floor and wall finishes, along with mechanical, electrical and plumbing work.
Drawings of the space show sections for women’s and men’s clothing, footwear, luggage, jewelry and handbags. There is also a “home” section and several fitting rooms.
The Bloomingdale’s outlet appears to be taking the place of the shuttered Bed Bath & Beyond. According to a Regency Centers site map, nearly 16,000 square feet of space adjacent to the planned Bloomingdale’s outlet is still available as of the time of this writing.
There is currently a Bloomingdale’s at another Buckhead shopping destination, Lenox Square. The upscale department store is owned by Macy’s Inc.
