The locally owned studio will feature a blend of yoga, barre and Pilates experiences for guests of all levels.

The 1,700-square-foot studio will be located on 17 ½ Street, near the Twelve Hotel.

“We’re thrilled that ATL Kula has chosen Atlantic Station for their first venture,” Nick Garzia, director of retail leasing at Hines, said in the release.

“We’ve been hosting free weekly Yoga in the Park for our customers over the past several years, and it has been very successful. Having a permanent yoga studio at Atlantic Station will amplify that experience. It is going to have a strong appeal not only to the residents and office workers who call Atlantic Station home but to the surrounding community.”

Atlantic Station residents Kiara and Corey Johnson are behind ATL Kula.

“After seeing the success of Atlantic Station’s summer yoga activities, we realized it was the perfect location for our first permanent studio,” Corey said.

“We are so excited to bring ATL Kula to such an iconic spot in Atlanta and feel like our various wellness options will be beneficial to the thousands of residents and employees that live and work in the neighborhood.”

The studio will feature two full-size classrooms, a lounge, and a meditation room.

Yoga classes will be taught by six instructors and include Hatha, Vinyasa and restorative yoga practices, as well as traditional Pilates and barre classes.

The Johnsons plan to incorporate natural elements throughout the interiors of the studio, including a soothing color palette, koi pond, and plant life.

An opening timeline was not disclosed.
