The Burgess Hotel, a soon-to-open boutique Buckhead property from Burges and Freny Jokhi, Monday in a press release announced a partnership with Apicii Hospitality Group that will bring two food and beverage concepts to the property, FIA Woodfire Grill and Mr. B. Bar.
Apicii develops, owns, and operates restaurants and bars across the country such as Casa Apicii and Bowery Road (New York City), as well as Breva Restaurant and Hotel Figeroa’s Veranda (LA).
FIA Woodfire Grill and Mr. B. Bar, created by Tom Dillon, founder of Apicii, aims to “evoke a neighborhood-gathering place” for hotel guests and Buckhead locals alike.
FIA will offer a Mediterranean-inspired menu with a focus on wood-fired dishes, developed by Chef-Owner Burgess Jokhi, in collaboration with Apicii.
It will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with seats for 68 guests.
Adjacent to the restaurant is the hotel bar, Mr. B., named in honor of Freny’s late father Keki Bunshah, who organized the first Indian expedition to Mount Everest, according to the release.
Photographs from his climbing expeditions will adorn the lounge.
Mr. B. will specialize in craft cocktails and spirits all anchored by a 60-seat bar/lounge area which incorporates a library with a fireplace.
In addition to the bar’s ever-evolving cocktail menu, guests will also be able to enjoy FIA’s full menu from this space.
Once complete, The Burgess Hotel will offer 102 keys, including seven suites and a themed penthouse inspired by “international destinations.”
The pet-friendly hotel will also include a “high-tech” fitness center and various meeting spaces, as well as an outdoor pool.
Hospitality Ventures Management Group will operate the hotel which is set to debut this fall, at 3600 Piedmont Road NE.
It is a $15,000,000 renovation of the Wingate by Wyndham Atlanta/Buckhead.
