Venkman’s isn’t the only restaurant planned to open at 740 Ralph McGill, an industrial space formerly home to Hall’s Atlanta Wholesale Florist.

Chris Connor of Javelin Capital, the property’s landlord, dished on the forthcoming concepts (yes, plural) in a telephone interview with What Now Atlanta (WNA) this week. Javelin Capital has been working with Pimsler Hoss Architects to renovate the 8,300-square-foot building for the two new concepts.

Connor and his partners, several of whom are minority owners in the highly-anticipated Venkman’s, whose kitchen will be helmed by Nick Melvin, could open a 2,800-square-foot “cafe” in adjacent space.

“The cafe is very conceptual at this point,” Connor said. “We know loosely we want to open a cafe that is a coffee shop by day and wine and pastries by night. But that could all change by the time you publish your article.”

Javelin Capital field a building permit application with City of Atlanta Friday for the eatery dubbed “740 Ralph McGill Cafe” for the time being.
