The eatery which first opened in December 2011 has since vacated its space, at 554 Piedmont Avenue NE, and its phone service has been disconnected.

Metro Fuxon was funded by three Atlanta doctors, Dr. Tommy Ashdale, Dr. Makanjuola and Dr. Osinuga, according to the restaurant’s website.

No word on what will replace Metro Fuxon downtown.

  1. I live a couple of blocks south of (what was) Metro Fuxion so I walked past it at least twice a week on the way to the Publix at North Ave. and Piedmont for the three years it was open. I suspected that things might not be going as planned some time last spring or summer, when they started having a couple of security guys at the door on weekends.

That section of Piedmont is tricky. There’s no shortage of cars coming through (even if it’s five lanes one-way, which is ridiculous for a city street) and thousands of people living within walking distance, it’s hard to tell what will make it. Poor Calvin’s, which is only about 50 yards away from Metro Fuxion, got a slow start when it opened a couple of years ago, but they seem to be doing really well now.

  2. No surprises here – Had to get civil judgement for monies owed – still wont see my pay for work – owners okay – GM Jeff Gelfond to blame ran the place to the ground with false promises, and lies.
