The new eatery, at 1540 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd., will open its doors June 17 after a sold-out four-day soft opening, Kristi Dawson, director of operations, Thursday in a telephone interview told What Now Atlanta (WNA).
“It’s a trip down memory lane juxtaposed against our growth as a culture,” Williams said in a prepared statement. “The dishes are fun and contemporary but scream comfort and home.”
For dinner, Greens and Gravy will serve up dishes like Fish and Grits, Six-hour Spare Ribs, Lemon-Pepper Honey-Fried Chicken, and Slow-Roasted Brown Sugar Salmon.
“My hope is to simply celebrate food that fed many bloodlines throughout generations. Besides, I’ve been working on the music playlist for four years and it’s perfect, just like the food.”
When Williams first toured the soon-to-be Greens and Gravy space, his intentions were to open a commercial kitchen for his e-commerce dessert company CinnaTreats.
But the culinary gods had something else in mind.
Reservations for Greens and Gravy should go live Monday through OpenTable, according to Dawson.
