The gourmet toast and juice bar will be opening at 1230 W Peachtree St NW, located in the new Hanover Midtown luxury apartment complex.

Atlanta’s first Toastique comes from Nicole Wiley, who noticed a gap in the market.

“I had gone on vacation and had an acai bowl that was out of sight,” she told What Now Atlanta. “It was phenomenal. It was delicious. I came back home and was looking for one that matched that. I couldn’t find it. I was like, let me look at bringing something like that to my city.”

An officer in the U.S. Air Force for 25 years, Wiley enjoyed the retired life for a little bit before getting a job with the Federal Aviation Administration. About a year ago, she started thinking there was even more she could do, exploring different health food concepts before arriving at Toastique as the perfect fit.

“This is my new adventure in life,” she said.

Founded by Brianna Keefe, the first Toastique opened in Washington D.C. in 2018. The concept can now also be found in California, Colorado, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Utah and Virginia, with additional locations on the way.

The menu includes gourmet toast such as the classic Avocado Smash, the hummus-forward Greek, and the sweet PB Crunch, one of Wiley’s favorites. Customers will also find smoothies, coffee drinks, bowls, and a lineup of nutrient-packed juices.

“This is my first business, and I feel like I needed to believe in whatever I was going to sell,” Wiley said. “I totally believe in this. I wouldn’t sell anyone something I wouldn’t eat myself, and this fits the bill.”

Toastique in Midtown is expected to open summer 2024.

Wiley could see herself opening additional locations in the future, with another Atlanta-area outpost hopefully within a year or two.

“I’m very excited about opening and seeing the smiles on people’s faces,” she said.
