The restaurant is planned for 4300 Stone Mountain Highway, according to a building permit application with Gwinnett County. The 7,670-square-foot space was formerly the seafood restaurant Bay Breeze Seafood.

El Paso Tacos & Tequila is a family-owned business that began in 2020 with the first location in Valdosta, and it has since expanded to Athens, as well as South Carolina, Florida, Texas and Louisiana.

The menu features authentic cuisine and Tex-Mex favorites, including burritos, enchiladas, chimichangas, tacos and more, and a full tequila bar with handcrafted margaritas.

El Paso Tacos & Tequila of Lilburn LLC was formed in November 2023, according to a filing with the Georgia Secretary of State’s office.
