Christian Lee has a busy new year ahead of him, opening eight new restaurants, including his first pizzeria. Lee and his family already own several restaurants, including quick-service restaurants Tiger K Cupbob, which serves Korean street food in Duluth, and Sumo Hibachi & Wings in Johns Creeks. The first of Lee’s new restaurants to open in 2022 will be a full-service dining restaurant called Sabu Korean and Sushi located in the retail portion of The Hamilton Hotel at 35 Milton Ave. in Alpharetta. That project is currently under construction and will open in February 2022.

The other will be Lee’s first full-service pizzeria concept at 3465 Duluth Highway 120 Suite X in Duluth. It will be located next to the AT&T in the District at Duluth mixed-use development. The 2,687 sq. ft. pizzeria will undergo a complete build-out before it opens in May 2022. The contemporary pizzeria will have a loft design and serve modern pizzas, tacos, chicken dishes, and wings. Josh Wulz, vice president and partner of Skyline Seven Real Estate, brokered the deal for the lease representing the owner.

“We are still debating a few names [for the restaurant], but we have hired an experienced chef. We own a lot of restaurants, but this is our first pizza restaurant,” Lee told What Now Atlanta. “This is going to be another new adventure, and we’re pretty excited.”

Lee said he plans to open at least six more restaurants in the next year and is working to secure leases for those establishments.
